Congratulations !!!
To a full house in the Colne Muni on Saturday 6th September 2008, the Club did ALL its members proud by picking up the following in the prestigious Pendle Sports Awards 2008 : 1) Community Club of the Year – Pendle Forest Sports Club : 1st Place “As well as three senior and one junior cricket teams, three ladies’ and one junior hockey team, Pendle Forest will also be fielding 30 football teams in the new season. The Academy offers grassroots football coaching and through “Ability Counts”, the Club now represents Pendle and Burnley by provided football coaching every week to children with disabilities.” 2) Young Volunteer of the Year – Adrian Lamb : 2nd Place “A Coach at Pendle Forest for five years, Adrian started as a volunteer with Pendle Sports Development, and has helped run events at the Lancashire Youth Games. As well as guiding his current Pendle Forest side to the league title last season, he has also had two members of his team taken on by professional clubs.” 3) Sporting Moment – James "Jimbo" Astin “Jimbo smashed Forest scoring record by attaining 86 goals in season 2007/08 being an active player in the U12 football team."
