I spy with my little eye something beginning with ....
Our Head of Coaching is also a qualified sports psychologist !

Dave Horrocks, Head of Coaching at Pendle Forest Sports Club and a qualified sports psychologist, may be destined for higher things as he continues to help Bury FC overturn the previous losses into a run of glorious wins pushing the Shakers in an upward direction in league division 2.

Bury boss and local guy, Chris Casper, hoped to give his troops the psychological edge by asking Dave as his close friend to be available to help the Shakers prepare mentally for the games. "We've been doing a lot of positive work with the lads, working on the right attitude and the winning mentality," said Casper to the Manchester Evening News. "Sometimes people take it for granted and you have to really work on that. I've brought in David. He sits back and observes things and passes on the positives to the lads. He's not in the players' faces - if they want to use him, he is there for them, if they don't want to use him, then fair enough.”

Glynn Hurst, Bury’s No. 9 striker, added to the press “The lads here are no different, but the mental attitude and the positive way of thinking is vastly different from six weeks ago. Dave Horrocks has made a massive influence on that, but so have all the coaching staff and the players. We’ve all made a massive contribution”

In conjunction with both Jeff Taylor and Vince Overson, Dave also continues to work closely with the centre of excellence at Burnley FC. He now is looking forward to a most enjoyable half-term week coaching the boys & girls at Forest’s Soccer School where his psychology qualifications may be thoroughly tested by his fellow coaches !!!
